The classes run out of our clinic at 335 Forest Rd, Bexley, led by people who do this every day. Owner and head vet Dr Robert Kay has cared for dogs and cats for more than 20 years, and he is Fear Free qualified, as is the whole team. That qualification is why the room works as it does: we read each puppy’s body language, move at their pace, and never force a frightened pup through something it is not ready for. We do not scruff cats or muzzle dogs anywhere in the building, and the same patience carries into a class.
We have been a family-owned practice since 2022, and around half of the families who come to us were referred by someone who already trusts us with their pet. Standard consultations run a full 30 minutes, and separate dog and cat consulting rooms give a young animal less to take in.
